About a year ago I made a pink felt bracelet for my daughter. She really likes it, she wears it a lot, and it was even washed a couple of times. This week she asked me to make another one, but this time a blue one. (I think, she is now into her blue period...) So I made her a new bracelet.
I used similar wool blend felt in both cases. After making something from wool I’m always concerned of how’s it holding up. Comparing the old and new bracelets I can see the difference between them. If you take a look at the images of the pink bracelet, you can see some of the pills highlighted with arrows. I know, that all felt will pill and fuzz over time depending on how you use it, but actually it is not that bad, it can be corrected. Let’s see what happens with the blue bracelet after a few months…
Cheers,
Emese, It's great to find something your daughter loves. Thanks for sharing. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable! What a fun way to use up extra pieces and make them better than something available at the store! :)
ReplyDeleteThey look so cute! You had a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteThose are fun! Love the colors! Stopping by from the Clever Chicks hop. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I love hand made jewelry!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. I'm sure that little bit pf pilling can be snipped of carefully with little scissors and the pink bracelet will be as good as new.
ReplyDeleteBoth bracelets are just darling! I can see why your daughter loves them so much. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
